Darus Salam Mosque is open 7 days a week and 365 days a year, for people to use our prayer facilities. We welcome everyone join us in the five daily prayers in Jammat, led by our Imam. The Adhan (call to prayer) for all prayers take place 15 minutes before the start of all of the daily prayers, except for Maghrib (the dawn prayer/fourth prayer of the day). The Maghrib prayer takes places immediately after the Adhan. Please refer to our prayer timetable for prayer times.
On Fridays, Darus Salam offers a special Jumuah prayer, replacing the Zuhr prayer (the midday prayer/second prayer of the day). The Jummah prayer is preceded by a sermon (khutbah), provided by an Islamic Scholar and this offers the opportunity to learn, express and expand knowledge. The sermon begins at 12.50pm and the prayer commences at 1.30pm. It is important to listen attentively to the sermon as it completes one’s Jummah prayers.
We also offer special prayer such as Taraweeh Prayers in the Month of Ramadan, this follows the Isha Jammat and are led by Hafiz-e-Quran. We also offer Eid Prayers during Eidul-Fitr and Eidul-Adha, three Jammats take place throughout the day of Eid. These special prayers are open to sisters as well.
