Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave instructions on what to do if there is an outbreak, such as the one we are witnessing.
Abd al-Rahmān ibn ‘Awf (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) reports that he said:
“I heard the Messenger of Allāh (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) say: “If you hear that it (the plague) is in a land, do not go there, and if it breaks out in a land where you are, do not leave, fleeing from it”.
We therefore urge everyone to follow the current NHS advice and stay at home, stop non-essential contact (e.g. shaking hands) and if you go outside keep more than 2 metres (3 steps) apart from others – click here for more information.
Please visit nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19 for advice relating to symptoms and what to do if you are experiencing any.
We also urge everyone to look after their mental health, for more information please visit: myh.org.uk or mind.org.uk.
Please feel free to contact us via email or phone, if you do need any support.
At this difficult time, we would like to thank everyone for their cooperation and may Allah (S.W.T) protect us all and keep us safe.
